About the HTML Table Generator

This HTML table generator runs entirely in your browser. Paste CSV-formatted data (comma-separated values) into the input box, choose your styling options, and click Generate to produce clean HTML table code with a live rendered preview. Nothing is uploaded — all processing happens locally with JavaScript.

How to use

Enter your data in CSV format — one row per line, cells separated by commas. Use \t for tab-separated data (it will be detected automatically).
Check First row is header to wrap the first row in <thead> with <th> cells.
Check Border to add border-collapse styling and cell borders.
Check Striped rows to alternate background colors on body rows.
Optionally enter a CSS class to add to the <table> element.
Click Generate to produce the HTML code and preview, then Copy to copy it.

Supported input formats

The generator accepts comma-separated values (CSV) and automatically detects tab-separated data. Each line becomes a table row. Cells containing commas should be wrapped in double quotes (standard CSV quoting). Empty lines are skipped.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use tab-separated data? Yes. If your data contains tabs but no commas, the generator will split on tabs automatically.

Does the tool handle quoted CSV cells? Yes. Cells wrapped in double quotes can contain commas, and the quotes are stripped automatically.

Is my data uploaded anywhere? No. Everything happens locally in your browser. No data leaves your device.
